What is Warm Up America! (WUA!)
Welcome to Warm Up America! the charity that has warmed peoples' lives since 1991. It started in a small Wisconsin town with neighbors knitting and crocheting afghans for neighbors in need. Thanks to the creativity of founder Evie Rosen who came up with the idea of having volunteers knit or crochet small sections and then others join them together, the idea quickly caught on. Today Warm Up America distributes warm afghans, caps and other items to tens of thousands of people, thanks to the generosity of knitters and crocheters around the country.

Warm Up Canada!
We are delighted to announce that later this fall Warm Up Canada and Rechauffons le Canada! will officially be introduced. In the process of trademarking Warm Up Canada, we met the wonderful Yvonne Brown who created Busy B, a non-profit organization which owns and operates two second-hand retail/recycling stores in the town of Tofield, located south of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. In addition to Busy B’s retail activities, Yvonne works with area volunteers to knit afghans which are donated to Blankets for Canada and distributed to people in need. The goal of Warm Up Canada is to complement the work these wonderful groups do.
